He is recognized for his commitment to excellence in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry by the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, the Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and in the advanced diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease by the JP Consultants Institute.
In private practice since 1973, he received both his undergraduate and professional degrees from Indiana University, and is a life-long Fort Wayne resident and secretary of the congregation of Emmaus Lutheran Church.
Dr. is on staff at Lutheran and St. Joseph Hospitals,
and is one of only 1500 dentists world wide in the International Academy of Operative Dentistry.
Other memberships include the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association and the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society.
He has served organized dentistry on both the local and state levels, and is a past president of the Isaac Knapp District.
He also meets with a team of local specialists to focus on current research and evaluation of patients with advanced temporo-mandibular joint issues.
Avid about whole-body health, he is an athlete and runner,
and is active in the American Medical Athletic Association, which focuses on research in sports medicine and nutrition.
Every Patriot’s Day, you will find him at the start line of the Boston Marathon. In 1996, he and his son, Brettnow a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and currently enrolled in his residency program in neurosurgery at the University of Floridahad the great fun of competing together in the World Championship Triathalon.
He has also passed along his love of running and biking to his 3 stepdaughters, and he and his wife, Nancy, are always in pursuit of great fishing spots.
